Did you Know? 55 Central Park West was designed by the architect Ivo Shandor, either a certified genius or an authentic wacko. The building’s non-traditional exterior changes from a deep purple to a yellow-white color as you ascend the structure, climaxing at the breathtaking rooftop where the Cult of Gozer often met to worship its namesake Sumerian deity.

In 1984, a supernatural pest control service closed the rooftop’s inter-dimensional portal, causing extensive damage to the property and nearby structures. Despite the resulting building violations, 55 Central Park West has remained a contributing property to the beauty and fame of New York’s Central Park West, as evidenced by fashionable tenants such as Calvin Klein and Donna Karan.
